I’m honored to join the Bishop Arts Theatre Center this fall as an instructor for the Young Artist Program, a space where the next generation of performers can discover their voices, strengthen their craft, and step into the power of theatre.
Over nine weeks, I’ll be working with a group of

talented teens (ages 14–18) to explore the fundamentals of acting and stage performance. Together we’ll:
Read and perform classic and contemporary plays, from Shakespeare to August Wilson.
Develop discipline by reading a full play outside of class, building the stamina and focus every actor needs.
Work on monologues—tailored to each student’s strengths—that stretch both comedic and dramatic range.
Learn the language of the theatre: stage directions, presence, breath, confidence, and emotional truth.
Rehearse, refine, and perform in a final Showcase Performance for families, friends, and the Bishop Arts community.
This program isn’t just about learning lines. It’s about discovering who you are on stage, building confidence that extends beyond theatre, and learning the power of storytelling as both art and discipline.
I’ve spent over 30 years as an actor, director, and teacher—helping performers grow from first auditions to national stages and television screens. Now, I’m bringing that same passion and guidance to Bishop Arts Theatre, here in the heart of Dallas.
Theatre is where young people learn not only to perform, but to be present, bold, and fearless. I can’t wait to help these young artists step into their full potential.
